Funding Opportunities for Biotech Innovations in HEIs – BIRAC Schemes

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management & Information Technology (BVIMIT), through the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Women’s Development Cell (WDC), organized a “SHE CARE: Seminar on Women’s Health, Hygiene & Well-being” on 13 August 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at BVIMIT Lab 1. The seminar was conducted to create awareness and promote a healthy, informed and supportive environment for women. The session aimed to enhance awareness regarding women’s health, personal hygiene, preventive healthcare and overall physical and emotional well-being. The session was addressed by Dr. Ashwini Suhas, MBBS, MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), who shared valuable insights on important aspects of women’s health and hygiene. She discussed the significance of maintaining personal hygiene, adopting healthy lifestyle practices, understanding common health concerns and seeking timely medical consultation. Participants were also encouraged to openly discuss health-related concerns and understand the importance of preventive care and regular health check-ups. Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar felicitated and expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, Dr. Ashwini Suhas, for sharing her valuable expertise and insights with the participants. The interactive session provided an informative platform for participants to gain practical knowledge and develop greater awareness regarding women’s health and well-being. The SHE CARE Seminar on Women’s Health, Hygiene & Well-being successfully enhanced awareness among the participants regarding women’s health, hygiene and preventive healthcare practices. The session helped participants understand the importance of maintaining good health, seeking timely medical guidance and adopting healthy lifestyle habits. The initiative reflected the commitment of the ICC and WDC of BVIMIT towards promoting awareness, well-being, dignity and a supportive environment for women in the institution.

The seminar created awareness about BIRAC’s vision, funding programs, startup support mechanisms, and research commercialization opportunities. The session strengthened the institution’s research and innovation ecosystem by motivating participants to pursue funded research, innovation projects, and entrepreneurial initiatives aligned with the objectives of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

Strengthening Scientific Research and Innovation in HEIs: ANRF’s Vision, Priorities, and Support Framework by Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) on 31 th July 2026 at 11.30AM Institution: Organized under: Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) / Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) Mode of Conduct: Seminar / Expert Talk Venue: BVIMIT, Navi Mumbai Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management and Information Technology (BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai successfully organized the MIC-driven activity titled “Strengthening Scientific Research and Innovation in HEIs: ANRF’s Vision, Priorities, and Support Framework” during Quarter IV under the aegis of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 80 students and 11 faculty members, with a total of 91 participants. The seminar focused on creating awareness about the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), its vision for strengthening scientific research and innovation in higher education institutions, research funding opportunities, interdisciplinary collaboration, industry-academia partnerships, and innovation-driven initiatives. The expert talk and interactive discussion motivated participants to explore research projects, proposal writing, and national funding schemes. Overall, the activity successfully enhanced awareness of ANRF initiatives, encouraged a research-oriented mindset among students and faculty, and contributed to strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem at BVIMIT in alignment with the objectives of MIC and IIC.

Event Title: Women Safety and Cyber Security – Awareness Session

(BVIMIT), Navi Mumbai, organized awareness on personal safety, cyber hygiene, and responsible digital citizenship, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management & Information Technology (BVIMIT) Navi Mumbai, successfully organized an awareness session on "Women Safety and Cyber Security" on 21st July 2026 from 11:30 to 12:30. The session was jointly organized under Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) - Internal Compliance Committee (ICC), Women Development Cell and Individual Social Responsibility (ISR). The objective of the programme was to educate students and faculty members about women's safety, emerging cyber threats, online frauds, cybercrime prevention and safe digital practices. The session was delivered by distinguished officers from CBD Police Station: • WAPI Ms. Sonali Rajguru • WAPI Ms. Savita Mhaske • PSI Kokaner The speakers shared valuable insights into various aspects of women’s safety, legal provisions available for women, emergency support mechanisms, cybercrime reporting procedures, social media safety, digital frauds, phishing attacks, identity theft, online financial scams, cyberbullying, and practical preventive measures.digital transactions, and timely reporting of cyber offences through appropriate authorities. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Suhasini Vijaykumar. The event was coordinated by Dr. Jyoti Kharade, Dr. Prabitha Deshmukh, Dr. Shambhu Rai and Dr. Nidhi, whose dedicated efforts ensured the successful organization of the programme.
